— Psalm 139:14 (WEB)Emphasizes how God carefully designed our sense of touch and created diverse textures in the world
Welcome to today's BibleMouse science adventure! Last time, we learned about our amazing ears. Today, we'll explore how our hands help us understand the world around us.
Our hands are special tools God gave us to feel and understand different textures. Some things feel soft like a bunny, some feel rough like tree bark, and some feel smooth like a polished stone.
Create a collage exploring different textures using fabric and cardboard
Simpler: Use fewer fabric pieces, focus on 2-3 textures
Challenge: Blindfold child and guess textures by touch
Review textures discovered and thank God for giving us amazing hands
Coming up: Tomorrow we'll become sound detectives and explore different noises!
Tactile exploration is crucial for PK4 developmental learning
Children might get overstimulated or frustrated with complex textures
Ability to describe textures, gentle exploration
