“Sing to Yahweh a new song! Sing to Yahweh, all the earth.”
— Psalm 96:1 (WEB)Encourages children to use their voices in praise and learn to sing together
Welcome to today's BibleMouse music adventure! Yesterday we played musical copycat with clapping, and today we'll use our singing voices!
Today we'll learn to echo songs just like we echo claps. Listen carefully and try to sing back exactly what you hear!
Parent will sing simple 2-3 note patterns for child to repeat
Simpler: Use only 2 notes, sing very slowly
Challenge: Add more complex patterns with 4-5 notes
Great job using your voice to make music today!
Coming up: Tomorrow we'll learn a fun song about Abraham and use our whole body!
PK4 children are developing pitch matching skills and auditory processing
Children may feel shy about singing or have difficulty matching pitch
Attempts to repeat pattern, engagement with activity
