📦 Materials Needed

  • Small basket of mixed toys
  • Sorting mat
  • 4-5 different types of objects (blocks, toy cars, stuffed animals, etc.)

1Opening (3 min)

Welcome to today's BibleMouse science adventure! Let's explore how things can be the same and different.

💭 Review Question: What shapes did we find outside yesterday?
2Teaching (5 min)

Today we'll learn how to look closely at objects and see what makes them special

3Activity: Same and Different Sorting Game (6 min)

📝 Instructions:
  1. Dump out basket of mixed toys
  2. Look at each toy carefully
  3. Sort toys into groups
  4. Talk about why each toy is in its group
🔄 Variations:

Simpler: Sort just by color

Challenge: Sort by multiple characteristics (color and size)
