Just as we carefully count and treasure small objects, we can treasure wisdom and understanding from God

  • Small collection of buttons or shells
  • Small basket or container
  • Counting mat (from BibleMouse Resource Guide)
  • Number cards 1-5

1Opening (3 min)

Welcome to today's BibleMouse math adventure! Let's remember how we counted shapes yesterday.

💭 Review Question: Can you show me how many circles we found yesterday?
2Teaching (5 min)

Today we're going on a special treasure hunt where we'll count carefully!

  • We'll look for special little treasures
  • We'll count each treasure one by one
  • We'll use our fingers to help us count

3Activity: Treasure Counting Adventure (6 min)

Hide small objects around a small area. Child finds and counts treasures.

📝 Instructions:
  1. Scatter buttons or shells in a safe area
  2. Help child find each 'treasure'
  3. Count each object by touching it
  4. Place counted objects on counting mat
  5. Celebrate each successful count!

Simpler: Help child count, use fewer objects

Challenge: Time the treasure hunt, use more objects
