  • Two different types of stickers
  • Clipboard or hard surface

1Opening (3 min)

Welcome to today's BibleMouse math adventure! Let's remember how we made patterns with beads and shapes yesterday.

💭 Review Question: Can you show me the pattern we made yesterday with shapes?
2Teaching (5 min)

Today we'll make a special sticker pattern. Just like God makes beautiful patterns in the world, we can make patterns too!

  • Patterns repeat in a special order
  • We'll use two different stickers
  • Watch how I make a pattern: star, heart, star, heart...

Create an AB pattern using two types of stickers on paper

📝 Instructions:
  1. Choose two different sticker types
  2. Place stickers in a repeating pattern
  3. Say the pattern out loud as you create it
  4. Fill the whole paper with your pattern
🔄 Variations:

Simpler: Parent helps child place first few stickers

Challenge: Create a more complex AAB or ABC pattern

Let's look at our beautiful pattern and talk about what we learned!
