  • Various sized blocks or toys
  • Sorting tray
  • BibleMouse sorting cards

Lesson Plan

1Opening (3 min)

Gather your child and BibleMouse sorting materials. Remind them about yesterday's lesson on sorting animals by size.

💭 Review Question: Can you show me a big animal and a little animal we talked about yesterday?
2Teaching (5 min)

Today we'll create a special pattern with big and little things!

  • Look at these blocks - see how some are big and some are little?
  • We can make a special pattern: big, little, big, little
  • God made everything with such wonderful design!

  • Now can you find a little block?

Create a big-little-big-little pattern using blocks or toys

📝 Instructions:
  1. Take out blocks of different sizes
  2. Place a big block first
  3. Next, place a little block
  4. Continue the pattern: big, little, big, little
  5. Count how many blocks are in your pattern

Challenge: Child creates pattern independently
