1Opening (3 min)

Introduce today's Shape Master Challenge game

💭 Review Question: Can you show me a circle? Can you show me a square?
2Teaching (5 min)

Review shape characteristics

📌 Key Talking Points:
  • Circles have no corners and are round like a ball
  • Squares have 4 equal sides and 4 corners
  • Let's practice finding these shapes around us!

3Activity: Shape Treasure Hunt (6 min)

Timed shape recognition game

📝 Instructions:
  1. Cut out 10 circles and 10 squares from colored paper
  2. Hide shapes around the room
  3. Set timer for 2 minutes
  4. Child finds and sorts circles and squares into separate containers
  5. Count how many of each shape were found
🔄 Variations:

Simpler: Help child find shapes, reduce time to 1 minute

Challenge: Add triangle shapes, increase time to 3 minutes

Review shapes found and count
