1Opening (3 min)

Let's remember our last BibleMouse lesson about Moses! Can you show me how Moses listened to God?

2Teaching (5 min)

Today we're learning about a time when God's people were very scared. They were trapped between a big sea and a mean army!

  • The people were afraid
  • They didn't know what to do
  • God was going to help them
💬 Discussion Questions:
  • Have you ever felt scared?
  • Who helps you when you're scared?
3Activity: Trapped by the Sea (6 min)
storytelling

Create a simple sea scene using blue fabric. Use toy people to show the Israelites trapped between the sea and the army.

📝 Instructions:
  1. Spread blue fabric on floor to be 'the sea'
  2. Place toy people on one side
  3. Show how the people felt scared
  4. Demonstrate their worry with sad faces
🔄 Variations:

Simpler: Just use fabric and point to people

Challenge: Let child move the toy people and tell part of the story
