Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Gather child and sit in a comfortable reading spot. Explain that today we'll learn how words tell us stories and how to follow along while someone reads.

2Teaching (7 min)

Demonstrate how to hold a book, turn pages, and track words from left to right using a finger or bookmark.

3Activity: Following the Words (5 min)
