Gather students and review previous s-blends. Sing a blend song to get excited about learning.
Introduce three-letter s-blends: scr (like in 'scrap'), spr (like in 'spring'), str (like in 'strong'). Show how these blends combine sounds.
Students use letter tiles to build and read three-letter s-blend words.
Simpler: Provide letter tiles already mixed for easier building
Challenge: Students create their own three-letter s-blend words
Review the blends learned today and celebrate their reading progress.
