Gather children and ask them to look around the room and name things they see. Explain that these are nouns - naming words for objects God created.
Demonstrate how things have names. Point to objects and say their names clearly. Show how nouns help us communicate about the world God made.
Create a picture dictionary of object nouns by cutting and pasting pictures from magazines
Simpler: Help child cut and paste pictures
Challenge: Write a simple sentence with each noun
Review the nouns we learned today and thank God for creating so many wonderful things
