  • Clipboard or hard surface for drawing

Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Gather children in a circle. Remind them that God created each of us uniquely and gave us special ways to share our stories.

💭 Review Question: What makes you special that God created?
2Teaching (5 min)

Explain that drawings can help us tell stories about ourselves

  • God gave us imagination to create
  • Each drawing is special because each child is special

3Activity: My Special Drawing (7 min)

Children draw a picture representing something special about themselves

📝 Instructions:
  1. Take a piece of drawing paper
  2. Think about something that makes you unique
  3. Use crayons to draw your special thing
  4. Be ready to share your drawing with friends
🔄 Variations:

Simpler: Draw a favorite toy or family member

Challenge: Draw multiple things that describe you

Allow 2-3 children to share their drawings
