Genesis 2:19-20

Out of the ground Yahweh God formed every animal of the field, and every bird of the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. Whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name.

Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Gather children in a circle. Explain that today we'll learn about how God gave us the amazing gift of words.

2Teaching (7 min)

In the Bible, God showed Adam how special language is by letting him name all the animals. Words help us tell stories, share feelings, and understand each other.

3Activity: Name the Animals (5 min)

  3. Give your animal a fun name
  4. Share your animal with the class
