Gather students in a circle and explain the day's goal of sharing favorite books through engaging book talks. Remind students that sharing our love of reading is a way of sharing God's gift of learning and imagination.
Model an effective book talk using a personal favorite book, demonstrating how to capture audience interest, share key plot points without spoiling the story, and explain why the book is meaningful.
Students will prepare and deliver 2-3 minute book talks about their favorite independent reading book.
