Gather students and introduce the concept of sound devices in poetry. Play a short audio clip with examples of rhythmic language.
Explain sound devices: alliteration (repeated consonant sounds), assonance (repeated vowel sounds), consonance (repeated consonant patterns), and onomatopoeia (words that sound like their meaning).
Students will create a short poem using at least two sound devices, inspired by God's creation or a biblical story.
