Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Gather students and discuss what makes evidence strong. Explain that good writers carefully choose supporting details that are clear, relevant, and convincing.

2Teaching (10 min)

Demonstrate how to evaluate evidence using a sample essay, showing students how to identify weak versus strong supporting details.
