Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Gather students and discuss what they know about farms and factories. Ask them to imagine what work was like before machines.

2Teaching (10 min)

Explain how the Industrial Revolution changed work from mostly agricultural to industrial. Discuss how machines replaced hand labor and how factories created new types of jobs.
