Learning Objectives

1

Understand Paul's teaching about Christ's second coming

2

Identify key details about the return of Jesus from 1 and 2 Thessalonians

3

Develop a biblical perspective on waiting faithfully for God's promises

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with God's trumpet. The dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. So we will always be with the Lord.
