Gather students in a circle. Explain that today they'll learn about a special way of discussing ideas called a Socratic seminar.
A Socratic seminar is a collaborative discussion where students ask questions, share ideas, and learn from each other. It's named after Socrates, who believed that asking good questions helps us discover deeper understanding.
