Gather students in a circle and explain the importance of teamwork in book clubs. Read Proverbs 27:17 and discuss how sharing ideas helps us learn.
Introduce four book club roles: discussion leader, passage picker, word finder, and connector. Explain the responsibilities of each role.
Students practice their assigned roles with sample book passages
Simpler: Teacher provides sample questions and passages
Challenge: Students create their own discussion questions independently
Reflect on what was learned about book club collaboration
