Gather students and discuss how words can be powerful tools for encouragement. Explain that today we'll learn to write friendly letters that lift others up.
Review friendly letter format: heading, greeting, body, closing, and signature. Focus on using warm, positive language that shows care and Christian love.
Students will write a friendly letter to someone (grandparent, friend, church member) sharing an encouraging message inspired by their faith.
Simpler: Provide sentence starters for less confident writers
Challenge: Include a Bible verse that relates to their message
Share a few letters (volunteer basis) and discuss how our words can bring hope and encouragement.
