Gather students and explain the day's Colonial Life Simulation. Discuss how people in different social groups experienced life differently in colonial times.
Explain the different social roles in colonial society: wealthy merchants, farmers, craftsmen, indentured servants, and enslaved people. Discuss the challenges and responsibilities of each group.
