Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Gather students and introduce the exciting journey of exploring the thirteen original colonies. Show a large blank map of the United States and explain that we'll be discovering how God guided early settlers to create a new land of opportunity.

2Teaching (10 min)

Introduce the thirteen colonies chronologically, beginning with Jamestown in 1607 and ending with Georgia in 1733. Explain how different groups of people came seeking religious freedom, economic opportunities, and a chance to build a new life.
