1Opening (5 min)

Welcome to today's BibleMouse art adventure! We'll explore how God's creation is full of amazing textures.

2Teaching (15 min)

Texture is how something feels or looks like it would feel. We'll learn about two types: real texture and visual texture.

3Activity: Texture Treasure Hunt (18 min)

Collect and create texture rubbings from various surfaces around your home and yard

📝 Instructions:
  1. Gather white paper and crayons/colored pencils
  2. Place paper over different surfaces (bark, brick, leaves, etc.)
  3. Gently rub crayon/pencil over paper to reveal texture
  4. Collect at least 5-7 different texture samples
  5. Label each rubbing with the surface name
🔄 Variations:

Simpler: Focus on 3-4 textures close together

Challenge: Create a texture collage or artwork using rubbings
