Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Gather students in a circle and explain today's 'Book Tasting Buffet' adventure. Compare book selection to choosing food - we want books that are just right for us!

2Teaching (10 min)

Introduce the five-finger rule for book selection: Open a book and read a page. If you don't understand 5 or more words, the book might be too challenging.
