Gather students in a circle and discuss what makes reading fun. Ask students to share their favorite types of books.
Review the different book genres we've explored this year: realistic fiction, fantasy, traditional literature, and informational text. Discuss the unique characteristics of each genre.
Students will create a colorful poster showcasing their favorite genre, including book examples and what makes that genre unique.
