Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Gather students in a circle and explain today's genre sorting adventure. Remind them that just like God's Word has different types of writing, books come in different genres.

2Teaching (10 min)

Review four main genres: realistic fiction, fantasy, traditional literature, and informational text. Explain each genre's key characteristics using visual examples.
