Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Gather students in a circle and explain that today we'll be detectives exploring how different writers tell the same story about Jesus

💭 Review Question: Who can name one of the Gospel writers?
2Teaching (10 min)

Explain how Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John each wrote about Jesus's life, but sometimes included different details

Compare two accounts of Jesus feeding the 5,000 from different Gospels

  2. Give each group a different Gospel passage
  3. Create a Venn diagram showing similarities and differences
  4. Share findings with whole class
