Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Gather students around world map. Ask them to point out where they live and imagine how people long ago discovered and settled in different places.

Introduce key ancient civilization regions: Fertile Crescent, Nile Valley, Indus River Valley, and Yellow River region. Explain how rivers provided water, food, and transportation.
