Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Gather students and show a large world map. Ask them to imagine traveling hundreds of years ago without cars or airplanes.

2Teaching (10 min)

Explain the Silk Road as an ancient network of trade routes connecting China to the Mediterranean world. Discuss how traders traveled across deserts, mountains, and grasslands.
