Gather students in a circle and ask them to share something interesting about their family's past. Explain that today we'll explore how our stories are part of God's bigger story.
History is like a giant storybook where God is the main author. Every event, every person's life is a page in His amazing story of love and redemption.
Create a class timeline showing God's work through history, starting with Creation and including biblical events and students' family stories.
Simpler: Focus on fewer events, use more pictures
Challenge: Include specific dates and research more historical context
Reflect on how each student is part of God's continuing story
Dear God, thank You for being the author of our stories. Help us see Your love and plan in everything.
Coming up: Tomorrow we'll learn how historians measure time!
“For I know the plans I have for you, says Yahweh, plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future.”
— Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB)🎯 Activity: Create hand motions to help remember the verse
