Show picture of Egyptian pyramid. Ask students what they know about pyramids and pharaohs.
Pharaohs were considered god-kings in ancient Egypt. They believed pharaohs were divine and would become gods after death. Pyramids were giant tombs to protect the pharaoh's body and treasures for the afterlife.
Students will construct a small pyramid using sugar cubes and glue
