Lesson Plan

1Opening (3 min)

In today's BibleMouse lesson, we'll explore the most special room in the tabernacle - where God's presence lived!

💭 Review Question: What special items did we learn about in the Holy Place yesterday?
2Teaching (8 min)

The Holy of Holies was the most sacred space in the tabernacle. Only the high priest could enter once a year on the Day of Atonement.

📌 Key Talking Points:
  • The Ark of the Covenant was a special gold-covered wooden chest
  • Two golden cherubim (angels) covered the mercy seat with their wings
  • God's presence would meet with the high priest here
💬 Discussion Questions:
  • Why do you think only the high priest could enter?
  • How does this show how special God's presence is?
3Activity: Create Your Own Mercy Seat (10 min)
