Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Welcome to today's BibleMouse art adventure! Last time we explored how lines can show different emotions. Today, we'll learn a special drawing technique that helps us see things differently.

💭 Review Question: What did we learn about lines yesterday?
2Teaching (10 min)

Contour drawing is a special technique where you draw an object by looking ONLY at the object, not your paper. Your pencil moves exactly where your eyes go!

📌 Key Talking Points:
  • Look carefully at the object's edges
  • Move your pencil at the same speed your eyes move
  • Don't lift the pencil from the paper
💬 Discussion Questions:
  • What makes this drawing method different?
  • How might this help us see things more carefully?
3Activity: Contour Drawing Challenge (20 min)

  1. Choose a simple object
  2. Place object where you can see it
  3. Look ONLY at the object, not your paper
