Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Review previous lessons about habitat changes and human impact. Ask children to recall ways humans can affect different environments.

2Teaching (10 min)

Discuss ways we can protect different habitats - forests, oceans, grasslands, and local environments.

Create a colorful poster showing ways to protect and care for different habitats

  1. Fold poster board into 4 sections
  2. Draw or cut out pictures of different habitats
  3. In each section, draw or write one way to protect that habitat
  4. Use bright colors and be creative!
  5. Add a Bible verse about caring for creation
