Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Gather students and review r-controlled vowel sounds. Show poster with ar, or, er, ir, ur patterns.

2Teaching (8 min)

Demonstrate how r-controlled vowels change the sound of the original vowel. Show examples of words like 'car', 'her', 'sir'.

  5. If read correctly, stay; if not, go back
