Gather students in a circle. Congratulate them on completing second grade reading. Discuss how much they've learned this year.

  2. On one side, draw a picture of yourself reading at the start of second grade
  3. On the other side, draw a picture of yourself reading now
  4. Write one thing you learned about reading this year
