Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Gather students and explain that today we're learning how to become better readers who can share God's love through clear communication.

2Teaching (10 min)

Explain the three parts of reading fluency: accuracy (reading words correctly), rate (reading speed), and expression (reading with feeling).

  4. Count words read correctly in one minute
  5. Record baseline reading rate
