Gather students in a circle. Explain that today we'll practice telling stories about our week using clear, kind words.
Model how to tell a story with clear details. Use a personal story from your week, demonstrating how to include who, what, where, and why.
Students will prepare and share a 2-minute story about something that happened this week.
Simpler: Draw a picture of the event and describe it
Challenge: Add dialogue and describe feelings in the story
Celebrate each student's storytelling efforts
Dear Jesus, help us use our words to tell the truth and show love. Amen.
Coming up: Tomorrow we'll record our stories and listen to how we sound!
“But speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, even Christ;”
— Ephesians 4:15 (WEB)🎯 Activity: Tell the verse using hand motions: 'Speaking' (point to mouth), 'Truth' (make truth sign), 'Love' (cross hands over heart)
