Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Gather students in a circle and show various nature picture cards. Ask students to look carefully and describe what they see.

💭 Review Question: What special gift did God give us to describe the world around us?
2Teaching (8 min)

Explain that adjectives are special words that help us describe things more clearly. Just like God gave Adam words to name animals, He gives us words to describe His wonderful creation.

  1. Choose a creature or part of nature to draw
  2. Draw the item carefully
  3. Write 3 descriptive words around the drawing
  4. Share your picture with a partner

Remind students that God gave us language as a beautiful gift to understand and appreciate His creation.
