💭 Review Question: What do you think makes a good story?
2Teaching (10 min)

Explain that every story has three main parts: beginning, middle, and end. These parts help us understand what's happening and keep the story organized.

📌 Key Talking Points:
  • Beginning: Where the story starts and we meet the characters
  • Middle: Where the main events happen
  • End: How the story resolves or concludes
💬 Discussion Questions:
  • Can you think of a story where something exciting happens in the middle?
  • How does knowing the order of events help us understand a story?
3Activity: Story Sequence Puzzle (7 min)
hands-on

Students will arrange story sequence cards to create a complete story

📝 Instructions:
  1. Give each student a set of 4-5 story sequence cards

🔄 Variations:

Simpler: Use fewer cards with clearer differences

Challenge: Use more complex story sequences

4Closing (3 min)

📝 Review Questions:
  • What are the three parts of a story?
  • Why is order important in storytelling?
🙏 Prayer:

Dear Jesus, thank you for helping us understand how stories work. Help us to tell stories that honor You.

Coming up: Tomorrow we'll learn special words that help us tell stories in order
