Gather in a circle. Remind students that God gives us the wonderful gift of language to share our thoughts and feelings. Today we'll celebrate how much we've grown in speaking and listening.
We all started this year with different speaking skills. Some of us were shy, some loved to talk. Today we'll share our favorite moments of speaking or presenting this year.
Students will prepare a short 2-minute presentation about their oral language growth, using their writing portfolio as a reference.
Simpler: Share just one speaking moment with a partner
Challenge: Include specific details about communication skills learned
Celebrate each student's courage in sharing and growing
Dear Jesus, thank You for helping us learn and grow in how we speak and listen. Help us use our words to show Your love. Amen.
