Gather in a circle. Remind students that God gives us the wonderful gift of language to share our thoughts and feelings. Today we'll celebrate how much we've grown in speaking and listening.

💭 Review Question: What is something you've gotten better at saying or talking about this year?
2Teaching (8 min)

We all started this year with different speaking skills. Some of us were shy, some loved to talk. Today we'll share our favorite moments of speaking or presenting this year.

📌 Key Talking Points:
  • Speaking is a way we share God's love
  • Listening is just as important as speaking
  • We can always improve how we communicate
💬 Discussion Questions:
  • What presentation did you enjoy most this year?
  • How have you become more confident talking in front of others?
  • What was something challenging about speaking this year?
3Activity: My Speaking Journey (10 min)
presentation

Students will prepare a short 2-minute presentation about their oral language growth, using their writing portfolio as a reference.

📝 Instructions:
  1. Choose 1-2 examples of speaking or presentations from the year
  2. Explain what was hard or fun about that moment
  3. Share something you learned about speaking
  4. Optional: use a prop or visual aid

Simpler: Share just one speaking moment with a partner

Challenge: Include specific details about communication skills learned

4Closing (2 min)

Celebrate each student's courage in sharing and growing

📝 Review Questions:
  • What did you learn from listening to others?
  • How can we use our speaking skills to help others?
🙏 Prayer:

Dear Jesus, thank You for helping us learn and grow in how we speak and listen. Help us use our words to show Your love. Amen.
