Genesis 2:19-20

Out of the ground Yahweh God formed every animal of the field, and every bird of the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. Whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name.

Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Gather students in a circle. Explain that today we'll learn about how God gave us the amazing gift of words and language.

2Teaching (10 min)

Read Genesis 2:19-20 and discuss how God brought animals to Adam to see what he would name them. Explain that language is a special gift from God that helps us communicate and understand the world.
