Gather students around and show the American flag. Ask what freedom means to them. Explain that just like God gives us special freedoms, our country has special rules to protect people's rights.
The Bill of Rights is the first ten changes (amendments) to the Constitution that protect important freedoms. These include the right to speak freely, worship God, and gather together peacefully.
Children draw pictures showing freedoms they are thankful for
