Gather students in a circle and explain that today we'll learn about how one thing can make another thing happen - called cause and effect.
Cause is WHY something happens, and effect is WHAT happens as a result. Like when you push a domino, it makes the next domino fall.
Students will create a domino chain demonstrating cause and effect
Simpler: Help students set up shorter domino chains
Challenge: Create more complex domino patterns
Review what we learned about cause and effect
Dear God, thank You for helping us understand how events are connected. Help us make good choices that help others.
Coming up: Tomorrow we'll learn about cause and effect in the Pilgrims' journey!
