Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Gather students and show map of Americas. Ask: 'What special foods do you think grew here before settlers arrived?'

2Teaching (10 min)

Native Americans were amazing farmers who grew many foods we love today. Corn, potatoes, tomatoes, and pumpkins all came from Native American gardens!
