In today's BibleMouse lesson, we'll learn about Jesus' special story of someone who showed amazing kindness to a stranger

💭 Review Question: Can you remember a time when someone helped you when you were hurt or sad?
2Teaching (8 min)

Jesus told a story about a man who was badly hurt on a dangerous road. Many people passed by without helping, but one person - a Samaritan - stopped to care for him completely.

📌 Key Talking Points:
  • The injured man was alone and helpless
  • Religious leaders ignored his need
  • The Samaritan showed true love by helping
💬 Discussion Questions:
  • Why do you think the other people didn't stop to help?
  • How can we help people who are different from us?
3Activity: Kindness Helpers (10 min)
roleplay

Practice being a 'Good Samaritan' with stuffed animal 'patient'

📝 Instructions:
  1. Use bandages to 'help' the stuffed animal
  2. Take turns being the helper and the person who needs help
  3. Discuss different ways to show kindness
🔄 Variations:

Simpler: Demonstrate bandaging with parent's help

Challenge: Create a 'kindness map' of ways to help others

4Closing (3 min)

Review the story's main message of loving everyone

📝 Review Questions:
  • Who helped the hurt man in Jesus' story?
  • How can we show love to people around us?
🙏 Prayer:

Dear Jesus, help us to love others the way You taught us, even when it's difficult.

Coming up: Tomorrow we'll learn about a son who made mistakes but was welcomed home with love

Luke 15:7

I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
