Gather students and show a color wheel. Ask them to close their eyes and imagine different colors and how they make them feel.
Explain warm and cool colors using simple language. Show how warm colors remind us of sunshine and fire, while cool colors remind us of water and sky.
Students will sort color cards into warm and cool groups, then create a simple landscape using only warm or cool colors
