Lesson Plan

1Opening (5 min)

Gather students in a circle and discuss what they know about taking care of the world around them. Ask them to share examples of how they can be helpers of creation.

2Teaching (8 min)

Explain stewardship as being a helper and protector of God's wonderful creation. Talk about how every small action matters in caring for the world.

  1. Trace and cut out a leaf shape from green paper
  2. Draw or write 2-3 ways you will help take care of God's world
  3. Decorate the leaf with drawings or stickers
  4. Share your leaf with a friend

Remind students that God trusts them to be helpers of His beautiful creation
