Gather students in a circle and discuss what they know about taking care of the world around them. Ask them to share examples of how they can be helpers of creation.
Explain stewardship as being a helper and protector of God's wonderful creation. Talk about how every small action matters in caring for the world.
Students will create a green paper leaf where they draw or write their personal promise to care for creation.
Simpler: Teachers help students write their promises
Challenge: Create a class 'Stewardship Tree' with all leaves
Remind students that God trusts them to be helpers of His beautiful creation
Dear Jesus, thank You for giving us such a beautiful world. Help us be good helpers and take care of everything You've created. Amen.
Coming up: Tomorrow we will celebrate all we've learned about God's amazing creation with an art project!
