— Proverbs 4:20-22 (WEB)Reading is a gift that brings wisdom and joy, just like God's words bring life
Gather students in a special 'book sharing circle'. Explain that today is a celebration of their reading journey this year.
Demonstrate how to share a book by showing excitement, reading a short passage, and explaining why you love the book.
Each student will share their favorite book from the year, reading a short section and explaining why they loved it.
Simpler: Share with a partner instead of the whole class
Challenge: Create a small poster about the book to go with presentation
Celebrate each student's reading journey with applause and stickers
Dear Jesus, thank You for the gift of reading and learning. Help us always love Your words and the stories that teach us about Your love.
Coming up: Tomorrow we'll celebrate reading God's Word directly!
“Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.”
— Psalm 119:105 (WEB)🎯 Activity: Use a small flashlight to represent how reading lights up our understanding
